Urgent Call for Action! Freedom for Guadalupe! Release all #Las17

January 21, 2015

WGNRR stands in solidarity with Guadalupe, one of the seventeen Salvadoran women unfairly imprisoned after having suffered obstetric complications, and support Amnesty International campaign calling for immediate release of “The17”.

Freedom for Guadalupe!

Join the twitter campaign for her immediate release

Please take immediate action to release Guadalupe (25 year old El Salvadorian woman) who has been imprisoned due to a miscarriage. She has served seven years of her 30 year  sentence. Last week  the pardon request  for Guadalupe, was voted on by the Assembly. The vote in favour of her release was lost by just one ballot. On Wednesday 21st January her case for a pardon will be reheard.  Guadalupe needs at least 43 out of a total of 84 votes to be released.
