Asian and Pacific Conference on Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment

On 17-20 November in Bangkok, Thailand, there will be a regional intergovernmental meeting to review the progress of governments in implementing the Beijing Platform for Action (BPfA) entitled “Asian and Pacific Conference on Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment.”

The intergovernmental Conference is a UN-led review of governments progress in relation to the Beijing Platform for Action. The outcome of the Conference will feed into the global dialogue around Beijing+20 to be held in 2015.

WGNRR will participate in the intergovernmental meeting as a member of the CSO Steering Committee that facilitates the NGO Forum prior to the Asian and Pacific Conference on Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment.
