Addis Ababa Declaration on Accelerating the Implementation of the Beijing Platform for Action

Addis Ababa Declaration is an outcome document of the 9^th African Regional Conference on Women organised to review the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action (BPfA). By adopting this declaration African states committed among other things to invest in sexual and reproductive health and rights, to expand provision of family planning services and contraceptives and access to safe and legal abortion and to address forced and coerced sterilization and abortion of women living with HIV as a form of violence against women.
