| In celebration of International Women’s Day 2021 and Women’s Month, Women’s Global Network for Reproductive Rights (WGNRR) and partner organizations bring to the forefront women’s visions of an equal and just future and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, and how women are taking leadership in shaping these. |

| This initiative is in line with the UN Women theme’s Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world, which also aligns with the priority theme of the 65th session of the Commission on the Status of Women, the flagship Generation Equality campaign, and echoed in Philippine Commission on Women’s Juana Laban sa Pandemya: Kaya! campaign. As we highlight women’s leadership, we also get bolder in our challenge. We amplify our calls for gender equality and women’s right to decision-making in all areas of life, ending all forms of violence against women and girls, and access to health care services that fully recognize sexual and reproductive health and rights of all. We emphasize that the pandemic has only worsened pre-existing social and systematic barriers and that these barriers need to be addressed to ensure the full realization of the rights of women and girls everywhere. As we celebrate women’s leadership this Women’s Month, we put the diverse experiences of women at the center of our activities. We must work towards an equal and just future and recovery from COVID-19, one that fully responds to women’s intersecting vulnerabilities, and their demands for justice. |

We look forward to working with organizations who are doing or plans to: Showcase through arts and other creative methods the different actions of women in the pandemic preparedness and responseGather views of women and girls in all of their diversity on how an equal pandemic recovery and future should be Develop and distribute materials to increase awareness on protection and response against gender-based violence and on how to access sexual and reproductive health services.
