Camille Van Kote
Camille Van Kote is a third year law student at the University of Houston Law Center. She graduated from Barnard College in 2012. As an undergraduate, she worked as an AmeriCorps member for Jumpstart for Young Children and was involved with the Columbia Child Rights Group. Her first legal internship was at the Tahirih Justice Center, a non-profit protecting courageous women and girls fleeing gender based violence. She also interned with Kids in Need of Defense, a non-profit seeking to represent unaccompanied immigrant and refugee children in their deportation proceedings. This past year, Camille was involved with Law Students for Reproductive Justice, spearheading and organizing events on her law school campus. Camille is currently interning at the Mexico City office.
