Gill Carter

Gill Carter, originally from Ireland, has a BSc in International Development from University College Cork where she was elected gender equality officer for the university’s Student Union. Gill has experience in the areas of HIV and AIDS, SRHR, project facilitation and gender mainstreaming.

Since university, Gill has worked in a number of African countries including South Africa, Zambia and most recently Tanzania. Since 2013, Gill was based in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania as Programme Manager with African Impact. She was responsible for managing the growth and development of gender, health and education projects.

Gill speaks English and Swahili and enjoys travel and experiencing new cultures.
