Irina Otmakhova

Irina joined the WGNRR team as Membership and Networking Officer in November 2007. In 2008, she moved to Manila from Amsterdam as part of the transition of the WGNRR Coordination Office. In 2012 she assumed the responsibilities of managing WGNRR campaigns in the position of Campaigns Officer. Currently she oversees all aspects of the international campaigning from creative conceptualising and building partnerships to the global mobilisation, with May 28 and September 28 being the two major WGNRR campaigns.

Irina holds a BA in European Studies and International Relations from the University of Amsterdam and an MSc in Development Public Administration from Leiden University. Her MSc thesis research was on public health care decentralisation in Senegal. Prior to joining WGNRR, Irina worked as the Programme Manager of the Summer Institute on Sexuality, Culture and Society at the University of Amsterdam.

Irina speaks English, Russian, Dutch, Spanish and French. She is currently learning Tagalog.
