Kathy Mulville
Kathy is an experienced leader and advocate, with over 15 year’s experience of managing international networks. Her expertise is in organizational development and capacity building, and international networking. Originally from the UK, Kathy studied in London gaining her BA and MA in Social Legal Studies. Kathy’s priority on joining WGNRR in 2009 was to complete the transition of WGNRR coordinating office from The Netherlands to The Philippines. Since that time she has led the further decentralisation of WGNRR activities with the relocation of programme staff to Africa, Asia and Latin America. Reporting to the board of trustees, Kathy is responsible for developing and implementing the strategic plan, monitoring and evaluation, donor relationships and income generation, and leading the WGNRR staff team.
From 1995 to 2007 Kathy worked at the Telephone Helpline Association where she established a network of over 500 NGOs providing telephone advice and support, developing best practice and quality standards for the sector. She established a consultancy and training unit which provided services to governments and the private sector both in the UK and abroad. In 2007 Kathy took a career break in order to volunteer as a Knowledge Management Adviser for VSO, and moved with her partner and two children to Manila. Kathy’s work has always been underpinned by her vision of a world where all people can access their human rights.
