Introducing the Pasya Advocazine Issue 2! This time, we’re focusing on the intersections of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) with key issues. Issue 2 dives into how inequality and discrimination, at the same time as laws, governance, and economic issues impact experiences accessing and exercising SRHR. As we reflect on our common call of #SRHR4ALL, we examine all these factors as vital in upholding human rights, promoting gender equality, improving health outcomes, empowering individuals, achieving social justice, and reducing health disparity.

Inside this issue, you’ll find creative pieces like “Sexual Harassment is No Whistling Matter” by Yvee Bangosia and “Brief ni Tita” by Gerome Nicolas Dela Pena. You’ll also discover a mix of stories, artworks, and poetry that reflect on the unique experiences of SRHR and the activism of diverse groups of people.

In a special feature, we’re introducing the Power Up! Campaigners shining a light on the important work of the Power Up network organizations from across the Philippines. Read about who they are, their campaigns, incredible milestones, and what to look out for for the Power Up network.

Pasya Advocazine started its journey in 2021 with the goal of gathering and sharing lessons and advocacy practices. We want to amplify the stories and demands of women, girls, and other vulnerable groups. The first issue, released during the COVID-19 time, discusses critical SRHR issues and challenges that have surfaced as a result of COVID-19 and highlights the responses of activists, organizations, and grassroots communities to these challenges.
