Welcome Letter from 122 Civil Society Organisations Worldwide to newly appointed WHO Director General, Dr. Tedros

A new WHO Director-General, Dr. Tevros was appointed at the World Health Assembly (May 22-May 31). In this regard, and in the context of May 28 (International Day of Action for Women’s Health), Global Doctors for Choice, IFMSA, IPPF, and WGNRR have put together a letter for the new Director-General, congratulating him on his appointment and asking him to support and advance all commitments to women and girls’ health, particularly their SRHR. Over 120 different Civil Society Organisations endorsed the letter.

Platform for Women’s Reproductive Rights in Croatia organise action to resist “March for life”

Activists speaking out for women’s rights, specifically regarding access to safe and legal abortion services organised a series of actions in the wake of the so-called “Walk for life” in the capital of Croatia, Zagreb. Actions were organised to highlight the real intentions of the conservative-led gatherings and warned that this walk had nothing to do with the preservation of life but rather, one that has an agenda to restrict abortion accessibility and to make it illegal.
