Organisation of American States Urges to Decriminalise Abortion

For the first time ever a committee within the Organization of American States (OAS)—considered to be the United Nations for the Americas—is recommending that all governments decriminalize abortion in cases of rape and incest, when the woman’s health or life is at risk and in cases of fetal impairments.

Ágnes Geréb 4th Anniversary of Arrest and Detention

5th of October, 2014 marks the 4th anniversary of the arrest of Dr. Ágnes Geréb. An arrest which led to her imprisonment for 70 days followed by house arrest for a further 3 years and 2 months. Then in late February, 2014 the Court of Appeal ruled that her confinement conditions should be relaxed for health reasons.

Mozambique to legalise abortion!
