WGNRR remembers Gigi Francisco

WGNRR is deeply saddened by the loss of passionate fighter and gender justice activist Gigi Francisco, whose life was dedicated to defending women’s human rights and advancing social justice. Her death on July 22 2015 is a source of great sadness to women’s rights activists around the world.

Asian and the Pacific feminists and CSOs including WGNRR, are particularly grateful of Gigi’s guidance and active participation, in spite of her illness, during the Beijing+20 Asia-Pacific review. WGNRR’s condolences are with Gigi’s family and friends and with our partners at DAWN at this difficult time.
