Women’s Rights NGOs submitted a letter to CEDAW concerning reproductive rights in the Philippines

On October 20, 2015, the Center for Reproductive Rights, EnGendeRights, International Women’s Rights Action Watch Asia Pacific (IWRAW-AP), Women’s Global Network for Reproductive Rights, WomanHealth Philippines Inc., and Population Services Pilipinas Inc. submitted a letter to the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women’s in time for the Committee’s Pre-Sessional Working Group on Nov. 23-27, 2015. The letter supplements the combined seventh and eighth periodic reports of the Republic of the Philippines. The NGOs hope to further the work of the Committee by providing information concerning reproductive rights in the Philippines as protected by the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women.
